Inspiring. Engaging. Diverse. What did attendees think about ASICUK22?

Delegates say the ASIC International Conference 2022 provided “added value” for education leaders.

Whilst we all look forward to coming together once more at our next physical conference – online networking really is “nothing like having a cuppa and a chat” – we are thrilled to have hosted another successful event, with people from over 35 countries in attendance.

Diverse perspectives: ASICUK22 sessions explored the evolution of hybrid teaching and training, the role universities need to play in their communities if the United Nations SDG targets are to be met, and how QA processes can transform the quality of institutional growth.

Presenters ranged from the Ambassador of Jordan to leaders and teachers from schools and universities in countries including South Africa, Iraq, the USA, Thailand, the UAE, and Malaysia. In the ASICUK22 Feedback Survey, attendees frequently cited the “diversity of perspectives and experiences” on offer, showcased by speakers hailing from Cairo University (Egypt) and Times Higher Education (UK) to Rajini Foundation School (Thailand) and Hudson County Community College (USA), as a key benefit of attending the conference.

95% of ASICUK22 delegates rated the content of the sessions as very to highly engaging and informative.

The two-day conference used the backdrop of the upheaval of the past few years to explore new perspectives on hybrid pedagogy and quality assurance and, once again, we acknowledged and rewarded outstanding contributions to quality education in a number of categories, including QA, inclusivity, international education and training, and sustainability.

Overall, attendees awarded the conference 4.41 Stars and an incredible 98% would recommend attending an ASIC Event to others.

Thank you to all of those who responded to the feedback survey, each and every comment is appreciated and we use all of them to inform our own internal QA to continue to improve our services and keep delivering events of value to the ASIC International Community. The word map below is made up of every keyword generated from delegate feedback and we think the most frequently occurring words clearly show the strengths of the ASIC network of educators and the value of learning from a wide variety of viewpoints and experiences.

Delegate feedback: What did delegates like most about the conference? “The content was relevant and informative with many inspirational ideas.” | “The diversity of topics and speakers hailing from different corners of the globe.” | “Exchanging ideas on so many different issues from a variety of different people around the world.” | “The very well-organized and positive moderation, the sincerity and enthusiasm of the hosting body and the diversity of the speakers.”
